More often than not young people living with a disability find it difficult to get the right sort of accommodation in a place which best suits their needs. They may find themselves living in aged care facilities without peers their own age to relate to.
Yooroonga Adventist Disability Services offers a unique opportunity for young people, aged 18-63, who are registered participants with the NDIS, to live in an environment with others who may have similar interests. They have the ability to choose their own support providers, giving them and their families more control and choice over the level of care that they need and require.
Residents at Yooroonga can live independently and work with their carers to live out their best life all whilst being part of a unique community.
Yooroonga Adventist Residential Care is a not-for-profit organisation run by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. A church that seeks to live out Christ-like biblical values and serve those in the community who need a little extra support along the way.
If you know someone who you think could benefit from all Yooronga has to offer, you can direct them to their website – adventistresidentialcareyooroonga.com.au or call their manager Jenna Morgan on 0418 868 885.
